Tour de Cure

We went to the 2009 ADA Tour de Cure for diabetes yesterday and waited for family members to complete the ride. It was amazing to see faces of people who were finishing the ride. There was a huge sense of not only accomplishment, but meaning for accomplishment. There were people of many ages riding different length courses. Boys and Girls about 10 years old were riding through the finish line and somehow they even knew the importance of what they were doing. One boy in particular had crossed the finish line and was smiling from ear to ear and saying "Yes! I did it!" as he crossed. There were Red Riders there who are riders who already have been diagnosed with diabetes. There were older generation Red Riders, some that were middle aged, and some that were probably just coming into adulthood.
All in all, it was a great ride for many and many accomplished goals they had set out to accomplish.
I challenge you to set goals, and accomplish them, for whatever reason you need or want to set those goals, set them, and make an effort daily to accomplish them. The reward of accomplishing it far outweigh the pangs of determination that it takes to get it accomplished.
That's all for today.
Happy Flag Day everyone!
